Meet the Owner, Eric Syme
When I was a kid, I used to help my dad repair and maintain our family home. I thought I was just hanging out with Dad and having fun, but this was where my love of carpentry and home renovation blossomed. Before I was even a teenager, we had remodeled our kitchen together. In addition to the hands-on experience and real-world education I received from my dad, he instilled in me a strong work ethic and traditional values that continue to guide me professionally and personally.
As an adult, I worked under one of the most sought-after timber frame builders in Maine, and spent over 10 years working with local carpenters and construction professionals. The array of knowledge that I acquired from these experiences motivated me to establish Hammerhead Carpentry with the mission of helping homeowners repair, remodel, improve, and maintain their homes.
